Xmas Card 2012 for mum

Just sharing the Xmas card that I made for my mum. It is another tri-shutter, as I really like to make this style card.  The papers used is Graphic 45 Nutcracker Sweet and the embellishments came from my $2 shop. I'm really happy with how this card turned out.  To allow me to keep my Xmas message personal, I made an envelope and put a little card inside that.

Asian - CCC Challenge #26

Hello fellow crafters.  Time for another challenge.  This fortnight the challenge over at Creative Card Crew is "Chinese New Year OR Asian OR Red & Gold OR Year of the Snake".

This challenge is proudly sponsored by:
 Scrapping Center

For this challenge I decided to play with my Graphic 45 "Bird Song" paper collection. It is a very pretty collection, which you can pick up from our sponsor.  I have paired with wild orchid craft flowers and of course bling. What would a card by me be if it didn't have bling ROFLOL.

Supplies:
  • Cardstock: black
  • Paper: Graphic 45 "Bird Song"
  • Embellishments: Wild Orchid Craft Flowers / Fashion Jewelry "Butterfly" / Paper Xtra "Flourish Silver White"
  • Miscellaneous: Tim Holtz Fired Brick Distress Ink / Inkssentials Glue n'Seal

Star - CCC Challenge #25

Hello fellow crafters.  Time for another challenge.  This fortnight the challenge over at Creative Card Crew is "Star".

This challenge is proudly sponsored by:
Simon Says Stamp
For this challenge I decided to keep it simple and really play with the pattern paper I have. I also interpreted the theme differently than the other DT members, I focused on a Movie Star.  It is a little hard to see, but I do have three bling stars, and a star punch underneath the flower in the top left hand corner, in addition to my movie stars.

Supplies:
  • Cardstock: Paper Accents Toffee & an unidentified company for the Black
  • Paper: G45 Curtain Call
  • Embellishments: Prima Say It In Pearls / Queen & Co Bling (stars) / Wild Orchid Crafts flowers

Card: WIP Card Competition - December 2012

I decided again to participate in the Wrapped in Paper (WIP) card challenge for December.  I was fortunate enough to have received the most votes for my August submission and was given a small prize - thanks Gail and WIP staff.

This challenge was a little more difficult for me but I decided to use some of the concepts I have learnt from Kathy Orta at Paper Phenomenon and constructed a card that could include photos.

I was happy with the card in end and as per the challenge requirements used everything that was in the challenge kit. I only have a few bits of pattern paper left over.

The first photo is showing all the product in the challenge kit and the subsequent three photos show the cover, first flap open and then second flap open.  The card is also blank on the inside where you can write you message.  I hope this card will inspire you.

Kit contents:
  • 5"x5" envelope
  • strip of pearls
  • die cut ornament
  • strip of ribbon
  • 12"x12" card stock
  • 6"x6" pattern paper (both A and B sides shown)
  • 12"x12" pattern paper (both A and B sides shown)
