B2B Beginner Album

Hi fellow crafters. About a month ago I made the beginner album in the back to basics (B2B) tutorial kit/scrapinar created by Kathy Orta aka Kathy Files from Paper Phenomenon.  I think this tutorial kit/scrapinar is great and I've got a lot out of it, and I've only completed the beginner album.  I've gained lots of inspiration for cards through the matting of this album.  When they are done I will upload them. I still have the intermediate and advanced albums to make but have gotten side tracked with other craft projects.  I haven't taken any photos of this beginner album only the YouTube video.

Thanks for stopping bye and I appreciate you taking time to watch the video.

Tri-Shutter Card - Graphic 45 "A Ladies Diary" - 50th Birthday

I was commissioned to make a 50th birthday card.  My friend wanted a tri-shutter card that was girly.  This was an easy concept, but it was much harder for me to get my creativity juices flowing for a variety of different reasons. However, once I committed to the G45 Ladies Diary collection and started working out an idea the card just came together.  I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Here is a photo of the card.

Here is a YouTube video of the card.

A Year In Review - Baby Project - Boy

Hi fellow crafters. Over the last couple of weeks I have been making a baby project for my friend who is due to have a baby boy early August. Tonight I presented her with the project.

I am very pleased and proud of myself for how this project turned out. My friend loved the gift. Since she is a fellow crafter she understands what goes into this type of project.

The tutorial for this project can be purchased from Paper Phenomenon. In the comments section of my YouTube video I provide a link to Kathy's Baby Project YouTube video.

Below are a few photos, as well as a link to my YouTube video.  Thanks for stopping by.

Mini Album : Lapbook

Hi everyone, over the last few months I have been steadily working on my lapbook project.  This mini album was designed by Kathy Files from Paper Phenomenon.

As I mention in my YouTube video, I had never heard of a lapbook before, I don't believe that they are used here in Australia. Well, not where I grew up, that being Adelaide, South Australia.

Anyway, I loved the concept of this as a mini album and decided to give it a go.  Like Kathy, I decided to do a Christmas theme.  I have used two Kaisercraft collections, Twig & Berry as well as Turtle Dove.  Both these paper collections are just beautiful.  I even have enough scraps and most of my 6" paper pads left over to now make cards with.

I have not taken any photos of this project, I only offer my YouTube video.

Birthday Cards - Tim, AJ & Fiona

Hi everyone, I know that it seems I've been MIA, but I have been creating. However, I haven't got around to taking photos and/or videos and then uploading etc.  Anyway, I just wanted to share with you some cards that I made earlier as well as the birthday card my dad made for me.

Birthday card - Tim
My friend Tim celebrated his birthday in late March. This is the card I made for him. I decided to do a Clean and Simple (CAS) card, which is not usually my style. I'm really pleased with how it came out. Tim loves gardening/flowers, so this is why I chose this image for him.

Birthday card - AJ
My friend AJ celebrated his birthday in late April.  This is the card I made for him.  It would seem that when I think of AJ I tend to think of my 'The Greeting Farm' stamps. I love the colours of this card and am please with my copic colouring. I haven't done much copic colouring of late so I'm happy I haven't lost any of my skills.

Birthday card - Fiona
This is the birthday card my dad made for me.  Not long after I got in to paper crafting I also got my dad interested in card making.  His preference is paper tole, which is not really my style, though I do occasionally do some fussy cutting.  I'm not sure what he used, but it looks to me like DoCraft toppers. The card is just beautiful, even more so by the fact my dad took the time to actually make one by hand.  I did score two cards from him. The first one he purchased, but then he felt guilty so he then made this one for me. I am very lucky.

There are more projects on their way and I'm in the process of preparing a video for uploading to my YouTube channel.  Will be back soon. LOL

PP February 2013 Kit Club Bonus Project Mini Album

This last week, Kathy published to the Paper Phenomenon December 2012 to February 2013 Kit Club web site the bonus project for February. Kathy has titled it 9 to 5. I was very exited with this project and for the first time ever made it along with Kathy.  It only took me a couple of days to construct the album and matt it, but I decided to do it a few hours at a time.  Besides, I also had to wait for all the video tutorials to be uploaded.

I have used Kaisercrafts "The Lake House" collection paper pack. I used the whole collection pack, with the exception of the sticker sheet, though I did use an element of that for the cover.  I had also purchased a few extra sheets that don't come in the collection pack.  The mini album took about 20 pieces of cardstock to construct and I used approximately another 10 pieces of cardstock for tags.  The brads and paper clip style closures are from Stampin' Up!

It think this is a beautiful album and I had heaps of fun making it.  I believe the whole construction of the albums, or more appropriately all of Kathy's projects is what I enjoy the most.

Below are the photos I've taken, but I've also done a quick YouTube video.  To view my YouTube video click here.
