Hello fellow crafters. Today I have the fourth layout that I created using the kit I created in August, "Kit #03 - CSI Case File #136" - CSI Case File #136". This layout was quite a challenge, as I wanted to experiment with mixed media. The mixed media component of this layout was inspired by Nicole Jones aka nicolejones911 on YouTube. It eventually came together and I love the colours used and I will be using this stencil, gelatos and modeling paste again.
Below the photo is a link to my YouTube process video for those of you who may be interested in how I put the layout together.
Hello fellow crafters. Today I have the third layout that I created using the kit I created in August, "Kit #03 - CSI Case File #136" - CSI Case File #136". I really struggled with this layout and nearly gave up, particularly in doing the process video. I found I was struggling with the pattern paper I selected and the colour. Yellow is just not a colour I would normally choose to work with, but I persevered and eventually just started sticking stuff down. It all came together in the end and I am very please with the results. It reminded me not to give, with a little bit of effort you can, for the most part, salvage something that you thought was lost - LOL!!!!

Hello fellow crafters. Today I have the second layout that I created using the kit I created in August, "Kit #03 - CSI Case File #136" - CSI Case File #136". This layout is very very pink and that was the point of it. The plan was to capture how growing up I had a very pink room filled with dolls. I did not like the colour pink when I was little and though I didn't mind playing with my Barbie doll, I was much in to other dolls. I just seemed to collect them, or probably more accurately my mum collected them for me. My mum still collects the odd doll now and then today, but I am not a big doll lover. I do, however, now enjoy the colour pink. In fact, it would now be one of my most favourite colours. I had fun adding the Julie Nutting Prima dolls to this layout and playing with some mixed media.

Hello fellow crafters. Today I have the first layout that I created using the kit I created in August, "Kit #03 - CSI Case File #136" - CSI Case File #136". This layout is quite simple compared to what I normally create, but the picture lent it self to simple.

Hi fellow crafters, I've back with another layout as well as a process video. This layout captures the arrival of a new kitten into my home in late 2005. Both Connor (RIP) and Contessa were fascinated with this new arrival and looked like they could eat her up. This is what led me to give it the title "Look Tessa mum got us a live meal". The layout took me just over an hour to complete and I really enjoyed making another process video for fellow crafters to watch. If you don't want to watch the video, the photo is below. If you do want to watch the process video, it is below the photo.
Hi fellow crafters, today I'm sharing a scrapbook layout of myself and my deceased dog Connor. This layout primarily consists of pink colours, as I decided to focus on me in the photo rather than Connor.
This is the first scrapbook layout I've done in about two months. It was a little hard getting into the groove, and this is why I do not have a process video. The layout took me about an hour or so to complete, as I did some elements in stages through out the day.
Hello fellow crafters. I have decided, albeit possibly a little too late in the month, to participate in the Counterfeit Kit Challenge (CKC) for August. Well, to tell the truth, I'm not sure if I will actually participate in the challenge but more I have used the CKC inspired kit, Studio Calico's Penny Arcade, as the inspiration to build my kit. The colours are not what I usually work with, but I did want to challenge myself and use up some of those pattern papers that perhaps I would not usually gravitate towards. Below is a photo of the Studio Calico kit that created the inspiration, a link to my YouTube video and some photos showing my kit contents.
Here is a photo of the Studio Calico Penny Arcade kits - Scrapbooking, Cardmaking, Pocket page and the three add-ons.
Here is a link to my YouTube video, showing the kit in more detail.
Here are some photos of what I pulled together for my kit.

Embellishments
What I have not shown is the other embellishments such as sequins, enamel dots, doilies, stamps, die cuts and other items that I would normally put into a kit. I will use this additional items, I just didn't take a photo of them. I do consider them stock standard for a kit I would put together.
I plan to do process videos and layout shares from this kit. I hope you will check them out.
Hello fellow crafters. I have decided, albeit possibly a little too late in the month, to participate in the CSI August 2014 challenge, case file #136. Well, to tell the truth, I'm not sure if I will actually participate in the challenge but more I have used case file #136 to inspire me in building my kit. I just love the colours.
I used the case file #136 'evidence' to guide me on the pattern paper and embellishments, but I did pull in other items that don't match the evidence description. What I do not have to show is the mixed media products that I will pull in, but I suspect that I will use my stencils/masks, gesso, modeling paste and paints.
Below is a link to the CSI Ning website, a link to my YouTube video where I show the kit in detail and photos of my cardstock, pattern paper and embellishments.

Hello fellow crafters. I'm back with another layout involving me and my pony Smokey. I did struggle a bit with this layout, but as you can see from the photo below, I layered a few pieces of pattern paper and then added minimal embellishment clusters. I'm really happy with how it has turned out, especially considering I don't usually work with the colour yellow. However, true to form, I found a way to incorporate some pink into the layout LOL. If you would like to know more about how the layout came together, please consider watching my process video. The link is below.
Here is a photo of the layout.

Pattern Paper: Basic Grey "Carte Postale" / American Craft "Best of" / Grace Taylor "Millie's Garden"
Hi fellow crafters. Today I have a double page layout to share with you. I don't usually do a double page layout, but the photos I wanted to show case worked really well together and I felt the best way to do that was through the double page layout. I have used cream cardstock, that I splattered with a few different spray mists. I made my own filmstrips to put my photos into. I fussy cut the horses and the different quotes around the page. I did struggle to do this double layout and I believe it is because I'm not use to doing them. I'm pretty happy with the layouts, but there are somethings I'd do differently, for example ensuring there is no gap/wasted space near the title on the right page layout. Anyway, I have done a process video if you want to see how the pages came together.
Here is a photo of the layout.

Edited 26 October 2014 - updated title to correct spelling of Bungendore. Photo also updated in Picasa, which is linked to the photo below. YouTube video has not been edited. Hi fellow crafters. I'm back with another scrapbook layout. This layout again has a lot of pink, but I have managed to tone it down a bit with some cloud paper.
The base is a pink cardstock, which has a piece of chevron layered on top, followed by the cloud paper and a strip of vellum with gold dots in the centre. Both photos have been matted on to pattern paper with two embellishment clusters, bottom left and top right. For more details on the layout, please watch my process video.

Hello fellow crafters. I hope you have been having fun crafting. The layout that I'm sharing with you today is quite simple and I have used an old photo of myself. Since pink seems to be my colour of choice these days, I have gone to town on this layout.
The base is plain cardstock that I have splattered with pink and mustard color shine mists and then layered a number of pattern paper pieces on top of the cardstock and under the photo. The majority of the embellishments I believe are from the Maggie Holme Flea Market ephemera collection pack.
I have added a Project Life card at the bottom of the photo and the embellishments have been clustered around the left side of the photo. The title "smile" is American Craft thickers in an aqua colour.
The layout took me approximately 40 minutes and I have a process video to go with it.

Hello fellow crafters. This layout is of my Italian granmother, Mery (RIP). It is a favourite photo of mine even though Nonna didn't like it. I think she looked beautiful and she felt she looked old. Nonna was 75 years old when this photo was taken.
The base of the layout was using BoBunny C'est La Vie pattern paper. I gutted the centre then mounted some American Craft tan cardstock on to the BoBunny base. The gutted BoBunny paper was then used as a background mat. I have a piece of American Craft acetate on top of the BoBunny striped paper. The photo is mounted on to brown pattern paper and several embellishments have been layered around the photo. The word 'beautiful' is a Silhouette die cut. I have used washi tap in the top right and bottom left and sprinkled brown and blue sequins around the page.
Hello fellow crafters. I really enjoyed putting my first kit together, see "Scrapbooking - Kit #01 - Putting the kit together", that after taking a months break from scrapbooking I'm back with this second kit. I followed the principles outlined in my blog post "How to create your own scrapbooking kit". However, with this kit I decided to limit my quantities and created many small kits to make up the overall Kit #02. To help me with this, I looked at, and took into consideration, the Scraptastic Kit Club and Hip Kit Club kits. In addition, I also included the Citrus Twist Kit Club, specifically their Pocket Page kit.
I plan to work on this kit for the month of August, and even possibly September. I will post layouts as I complete them and I will be trying to do a process video with the majority of the layouts.
I broke my kit up into seven categories, that being:
Main Kit
Cardstock Add-on
Pattern Paper Add-on
Embellishment Add-on
Stamp Add-on
Colour Add-on
Pocket Page Add-on
Here is a link to my YouTube video:
Main Kit
I included three different coloured cardstock, two of each colour. I can't recall the companies, but I believe that it is a combination of Bazzill and Stampin' Up!.
The pattern paper consists of the following companies and paper collections:
BoBunny: Modern Miss, C'est La Vie and Smoochable
American Crafts: Best of, Amy Tangerine Cut and Paste and Sketchbook, Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm
Basic Grey: Serenade
Since I pre-cut all the cut sheets that I have in my collection, I could not include one complete 12" sheet. Therefore, I went through my stash and pulled out several 4" x 6" cut outs. These cut outs were from three different companies.
