Silver and Blue - CCC Challenge #23

Hello fellow crafters.  Time for another challenge.  This fortnight the challenge over at Creative Card Crew is "Silver and Blue".

Simon Says Stamp

For this challenge I decided to try something different, that being my take on a male grunge style card.  It was interesting making this card, seeing what was working and needed to change before I was finally happy with the end result.  I used a few products I hadn't touched at all or hadn't touched in a year or so.  It is quite a different card then my usual style, but I still couldn't resist putting flowers and bling on it. LOL.

Supplies:
  • Stamps: The Greeting Farm - Sweet & Toxic
  • Copics: E000, E00, E21, E11 (Skin) / B93, B95, B97 (Jeans) / R81, R85, R89 (Shirt) / 100, BV29, BV25, B97 (Hair) / 100, R89, R85 (Shoes) / C3 (Tie)
  • Dies/Punchs/Embossing: Tim Holtz Gadget Gears / Provocraft cuttlebug embossing Clockworks / Stampin' Up! 1.25" Square punch & Scallop Square punch
  • Cardstock: Stampin' Up! (blue) / Petaloo (Glitter sheets)
  • Embellishments: Kaisercraft Rhinestone Flourish Classic Island Lagoon / Tim Holtz Metal Wings / buttons / Flowers
  • Other: Glimmer Mist Turquoise blue / Adirondack Brights Acrylic Paint Dabber Sail Boat Blue / Pearlescent Liquid Acrylic Silver Pearl /

Card: Tri-Shutter Card - G45 Ladies Diary

A few weeks ago I was commissioned by a work colleague/friend to make a birthday card. The scope I was given was the same style card I had made for a bady shower we had both attended.   Her friend likes girly stuff, flowers and bright colours. Well, I don't really have many bright colours in my craft stash, that's not really the style I make and certainly nothing that would suite the other requirements of girly and flowers.

I am very happy with how this card has turned out and I know my work colleague/friend will also love the card.  It may not be what she was hoping for and if she doesn't want it, then I get to keep it LOL.

I've taken two photos and a very quick YouTube video. The two photos show one with the hidden message envelope (photo 1) and the second shows the spot where the hidden message envelope is attached to the card with a magnet (photo 2).  The YouTube video just briefly shows the card with and without the hidden envelope and I mention the products I've used. It is quite hard to show case a tri-shutter card to do it justice.

Anyway, here are the photos:
