FMAK #7/2015 - Kit Contents - Treat

Hi fellow crafters. Following on from my previous post, FMAK #6/2015 - Puddles, I have put together the Scrap Stash Kit Club October 2015 kit.  Once again the colour inspiration for this kit was shared on the Facebook group.

I love the colour inspiration for this kit. However, to be honest, they are colours that I would usually use as accents and not colours that I would base a kit around. That said, I've really enjoyed pulling items from my stash to coordinate with the colour inspiration and know that it is a kit I will have fun working with.

Here is a photo overview of the kit contents.

Here is a link to the short video I have put together for those of you who like to see kit contents shown in videos, like me.

FMAK #6/2015 - Kit Contents - Puddles

Hi fellow crafters. Today I am sharing with you the Scrap Your Stash September 2015 kit.  The colour inspiration for this was shared on the Scrap Stash Kit Club Facebook group.  There is also the website Scrap Stash Kit Club that you can check out for more details on how the kit club works.

The September kit has been  named Puddles by Margareta.  The colour inspiration was shared on the Facebook group.

I really like the colour inspiration for Puddles. I find I have many items within my stash that coordinate with these colours and they are colours that I naturally gravitate towards when doing layouts.

Here is a photo showing an overview of the kit contents.

I've put together a quick video for those of you who like to see the contents in a video.

FMAK #5/2015 - Kit Contents - Triad

Hi fellow crafters. As mentioned in my previous blog, I'm taking a class at Big Picture Classes (BPC) that teaches you how to build/put together your own scrapbook kit.  I consider myself fairly experienced in putting kits together, but I am having fun learning new approaches. For this class I've put two kits together. The first one, FMAK #4/2015 titled Split, can be read about in my previous post and this post is to show case the second kit I've put together called Triad.

Here is a photo showing an overview of the kit contents.

For those of you who like to see kit contents in a video, here is a quick video.

FMAK #4/2015 - Kit Contents - Split

Hi fellow crafters. I'm back with another FiLoMa's Make A Kit #4/2015 titled "Split".  FYI, I'm still working with FMAK #3/2015, but I've recently joined Big Picture Classes (BPC) and one of the many courses I'm taking is putting your own kit together.

As you know, if you've read my previous posts and/or watched my YouTube channel I'm pretty confident in putting my own kits together.  The course at BPC is being taught by Margareta from Use Your Stash or Facebook group "Scrap Your Stash", both of which I am members of.  What I like about the BPC class is that I'm looking/learning different ways of putting a kit together.  This kit is the first that I've put together following the classes guidelines/lessons.

Here is an overview photo of my kit.  You will see, hopefully, that this is the smallest kit I've ever put together. I deliberately made it smaller since FMAK #3/2015 is quite large.

What is not included is my mixed media product as that is currently with FMAK #3/2015. I will also be using my mixed media products with this kit.

I have also put together a very quick video showing the contents.

FMAK #3/2015 - Layout Share - Squidge and Boofhead

Hi fellow crafters. Today I'm sharing with you a simple layout I did using a watercolour background technique.  I'm taking a class over at Big Picture Classes (BPC) learning how to do great backgrounds using watercolours.

I really enjoyed doing the background and did struggle a little putting the embellishments on the page. I wanted to show case the background so knew I did not want many embellishments. I did find the balance in the end.

Below is a photo of my layout but I also have a very quick process video on my YouTube channel.

FMAK #3/2015 - Kit Contents - 50 Sheets of Pattern Paper

Hi fellow crafters. Today I'm sharing with you "FiLoMa's Make a Kit (FMAK) #3/2015 - 50 Sheets of Pattern Paper".

Once again I had a hard time restraining myself with the amount of product I pulled for this kit. However, I do believe it is less than my previous kit (FMAK #2/2015). I have named this kit "50 Sheets of Pattern Paper" because that is how many 12"x12" pieces of pattern paper I pulled.

I have great variety to select from, and I am very inspired to use this kit.  I think this is my best kit ever, but time will tell once I start using it.  I am, at least, very inspired to scrap with it.

The good thing about putting your own kit together is that it helps you a) use up your product and b) not feel bad or sad that you may not have purchased any recent product.  By recent I mean within the last month or two.  This kit is a combination of new product, purchased earlier this year, and older product, purchased a couple of years ago.

I plan to use this kit for the month of September. I will be doing a combination of 12" layouts and pocket page layouts.  Detailed below are photos of the contents I have pulled for the kit, as well as a link to my Tube video.
