Maps/Newsprint/Sheet Music/Script - CCC Challenge #17

Hello fellow crafters.  Time for another challenge.  This fortnight the challenge over at Creative Card Crew is "Maps/Newsprint/Sheet Music/Script".

This challenge is proudly sponsored by:
Simon Says Stamp

I used several products available from Simon Says Stamp, such as Tim Holtz, La La Land, Copics, Prima Flowers and Glimmer Mists.   I'm really happy with how my card turned out and I'm loving the La La Land stamps. They just call to be coloured in with my copics.  I've taken several views of the card.

Baby Shower - Leonie

Tonight I made a card for my friend Leonie. Her baby shower is coming up, so I thought I'd make the card with plenty of time to spare.  The card, a tri-shutter, was inspired by Anne from Annes Papercreations blog (aka xannero1 on YouTube).  Leonie has let us all know that she is having a little girl.  With this information I decided to really go to town and do a girly girl pink card.  I'm really happy with my work and very appreciative of Anne's inspiration.

Birthday Card - Pam

My friend Pam celebrated her birthday on 3 April. Today we finally managed to catch up and I was able to give her, her birthday card.  The card is based on the Build-A-Page Album my Kathy at Paper Phenomenon.  I have only taken a photo of the cover of the card, but I'm really happy with how it turned out. The patterned paper is Stampin' Up! and the stamped image is Sweet Pea.  I coloured the girl in with Copics.

Copics used were:

  • Skin: E51, E21, E11
  • Cheeks: E04
  • Hair: E31, E35, E37
  • Make-up, Flowers & Necklace: R81, R85
  • Clothes & Eyes: B93, B95, B97

Birthday Card - Kv

Today is my friends birthday. She is lucky enough that her birthday falls on a public holiday here in Canberra, Australia.  This card was inspired by the one I made for Nancy's 90th birthday (see post below).  I'm really happy with how this card turned out and I know that my friend Kv will like it also.

Birthday Card - Nancy

I have a 90th birthday lunch to attend in a couple of weeks and the card below is what I came up with.  As soon as I saw the patterned paper with the roses, I knew that it was an ideal pattern to use for this card.  I've been quite taken with some of the shabby chic cards that I have seen while surfing the net.  I'm very proud of this card as it is my own idea, I did not copy any card to come with the design I have used. As my confidence grows, my originality is starting to show itself.
